automatic vs. quartz watches – which is better?
I want to buy my boyfriend a watch as a gift when he starts college, but I don’t know whether it would be better to get him a quartz or automatic.

I like the second one; the first one looks kind of cheap and “universal.” The second one’s more detailed and eye-catching. And Seiko’s a better brand, as far as I know. Automatic’s aren’t good if the person wears the watch only once in a while – they’ll freeze. Like my grandparents have Rolexs but since they don’t wear them often, they freeze and they have to reset them every time they wear them. Quartz are easier since you don’t have to do anything unless it’s Daylight Savings.
