Personal navigation devices for the deployment of GPS?
My boyfriend is in the military and want a Suunto x9Mi (a navigation device Wrist GPS / Watch) for use in the field and take him at his next deployment. It supposedly made specifically for military career, but not I am sure that this is simply a marketing ploy or if you have a very good cause. For any of you ever used this or a similar device and is still allowed? At about $ 500 worth that price? Really do not want to buy it, but I can not help thinking how I would feel if you do, could mean the difference between him return home safely or not and I said I do not understand. suunto watches are very good, and good for the equipment they have on them. Who are authorized and definetely a lot of guys who use them. If I had to spend more GPS, but I got a pocket with many more features which Suunto. If you buy, be sure to save receipts for tax purposes.
