This condition, which is known as Patello-femoral Pain Syndrome or Chondromalacia Patellae in the medical world, is characterized by the degeneration or deterioration of the patella-–the cartilage portion located at the back of the kneecap.
This disease, which is more common than you think, is probably called runner’s knee because of the high incidence of knee disorders among runners. In fact, one in every five runners is expected to develop knee problems or knee-related injuries in the course of about 12 months.

If you have well-developed and strong muscles, they will be able to help alleviate stress and weight from the knee joints. However, if you have weak muscles, your kneecaps will feel the full force of your weight or the stress from too much exertion.

Because of the physiological makeup of women, they are more prone to developing Chondromalacia Patellae than men. Since members of the female gender have bigger pelvis, weaker muscles and more loose ligaments, there is a high probability for women to develop knee misalignment.
Over-The-Top Weight
